ART DECO INSPIRED FLORAL PATTERN DESIGN
For this project, I was inspired by the Art Deco movement and wanted to create a floral pattern design that embodied this style.
Since gold is a prevalent color for Art Deco designs, I knew I wanted it to be one of the main colors. This set the tone for a more neutral color pallet that includes a dusty blue/grey, light peach and a very pale green. I also knew that I wanted to create a repeated pattern that could easily be transferred to fabric. As a quilter, I appreciate repeated patterns to help emphasize certain shapes or blocks in a quilt.
